Masterminding a massively successful virtual summit through meticulous speaker selection, engaging branding, and targeted marketing tactics, leading to over 75,000 attendees.
The Trauma Recovery Summit is an event I created in collaboration with Sarah Brassard, focused on sharing knowledge about trauma and trauma recovery. The event aimed to grow the audience of individuals interested in inner healing, philosophy, spirituality, meditation, and personal growth. Hosted virtually in October 2022, the summit addressed the increasing relevance of trauma-related topics due to the ongoing pandemic.
Goals and Challenges
The event partners sought to grow their audiences, particularly their email lists, while engaging them for action readiness. The primary goal was to attract at least 10,000 attendees, with a stretch goal of 25,000, and promote relevant coaching and education opportunities from Sarah Brassard. The event also aimed to grow an email list for a newsletter and planned podcast on various topics, such as mental health and spirituality. Given the importance of the topic during the pandemic, it was crucial to curate the right message, experience, topics, and speakers for the event.
Deliverables
We meticulously planned, curated, and secured expert speakers for 35 topics related to trauma, healing, and personal growth. In collaboration with a creative partner, we developed visual and messaging assets for the brand. We then designed the summit registration page, funnel pages, live event site, and a paid member website. To ensure seamless operation, we optimized all back-end systems and set up email automation for event delivery and promotion, while also ensuring proper lead routing.
We developed various marketing content, including a custom Enneagram personality quiz and an event companion guide. With the help of an affiliate marketing coach, I managed an affiliate marketing program that resulted in more than 10,000 contacts generated from affiliate partner links. Finally, we successfully sold and launched multiple offerings during and after the event.
